Wild Thing

This is probably the funnest piece I’ve done yet. There’s a self-portrait that Maurice Sendak did of himself and his hero, Mickey Mouse. Since his most famous book “Where the Wild Things Are” was the book that inspired me to become an artist, I figured it only made sense to do a self-portrait as a Wild Thing!
